The Honeybees
18 Months - 2 Years
8:15am - 10:45am
Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Full Week
Our Honeybees classroom is a vibrant space thoughtfully designed to nurture the curiosity and wonder of toddlers between 18 months and two years old.
This room is equipped with low and sturdy furniture and secure play areas with carefully selected age-appropriate toys and sensory materials, creating an environment that encourages discovery and imagination. Our outdoor space is perfect for running, digging and exploring!
Our teachers engage with the toddlers in gentle activities, fostering social interaction and laying the foundation for first friendships. The routine of the morning feels very much like the rhythm of an early preschool classroom, but is adapted to meet the specific needs of this younger group.
The Honeybees classroom is a sanctuary for the tiniest members of our community as they take their first steps towards independence.
The Bluebirds & The Sunflowers
2 & 3 Year Olds
8:30am - 11:00am
Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Full Week
Optional Lunch Bunch 11:00am - 12:00pm
Our Bluebirds and Sunflowers classrooms are designed for children who are at least 2 at the beginning of the school year, as well as younger 3-year-olds who may not be quite ready for a traditional 3-5 year-old preschool program.
At TMO, children learn to feel comfortable separating from caregivers and develop close, trusting relationships with teachers. During the year, children move toward collaborative play with peers and develop all the skills important to becoming a good friend. Pretend play takes off and is both encouraged and celebrated. Expressive language explodes and teachers marvel at the worlds that children create through their play.
Children in our classrooms get messy, dive in, explore with all of their senses, talk, read, create, pretend, run, jump, hop and joyfully make TMO their very own first community away from home. We are thrilled to be part of this journey with your child and your family.
We hope that in their time with us your child will gather all of the social, emotional and educational “tools” they need to navigate their next classroom experience. We develop enduring relationships with our families and cherish those connections and visits long after children have transitioned from TMO.
